TRUE CHIROPRACTIC
TRUE CHIROPRACTIC
Perhaps you are discouraged because you can no longer do the things that you used to. Or maybe that nagging pain still has not gone away completely. You wonder why it is taking so long. You may react by thinking you are not healing. This is a dangerous misconception.
Your body heals by priorities. If you have low back pain, but your liver has disease, where do you think your body will put its energy; getting rid of back pain or healing and repairing the liver? Similarly, if you have pain in your right leg, but are fighting off a viral infection, your body will most likely put its energy into fighting the viral infection first.
This is where trust comes into play. We must trust our body's innate intelligence. The same intelligence that took two cells and made you (without any outside help) still resides in you and is on call 24/7. It is fully capable of running your body perfectly and healing you.
In order for this inborn wisdom to efficiently do its job in maintaining our health, we must nurture it. Therefore, rather than filling our mind with negatives as we search our ailment on google all night long, let's redirect our attention and take inventory of the good things that we are (or need to be) doing. For example, we can research how we can eat healthier. We can alter our routine to fit in some regular exercise. We can turn off the tv and get some extra rest. We can carve out some time for that extra visit to the chiropractor.
Embracing all facets of health will give our bodies the best possible chance to heal from the inside out! These facets include: proper rest, good nutrition, regular exercise, a positive mental attitude, and a good nerve supply through regular chiropractic adjustments. Ask yourself, "Am I doing ALL of these things consistently?" If your answer is no, commit yourself to doing so. Focus on these good things before considering drugs, surgery, or "sickness care." You might just be surprised at the results!
"If we are creating ourselves all the time, then it is never too late to begin creating the bodies we want instead of the ones we mistakenly assume we are stuck with." -Deepak Chopra
